As a development officer of MB Seminary, Ben considers it a privilege to build relationships with donors and pastors who are interested in supporting graduate theological education and leadership training to equip those who are leading the church in reaching Canada with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Ben’s career path includes pastoring in California, Manitoba, and Ontario, teaching at Bethany College in Saskatchewan, and working as a Stewardship Representative for the Canadian Conference of MB Churches. He is married to Margaret, a career nurse, and together they have four adult children and four grandchildren (so far!).
As a long-time believer in being a life-long learner, Ben has bachelor degrees from Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Toronto, as well as master’s degrees from MB Biblical Seminary and the University of Saskatchewan. Having grown up in a loving and nurturing Christian environment, Ben’s faith in Christ is an integral part of his identity. “After more than five decades of walking with Christ, I am still often amazed at the great compassion, mercy, and love that God has for me.”
In his leisure time, Ben enjoys keeping up with world affairs, reading both fiction and non-fiction, and together with Margaret, visiting places of natural beauty or historic importance.
