MB Seminary is committed to providing a community where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. The following policies and procedures are designed to equip our community to live out our faithful calling to Jesus Christ.

Student Handbook

When you are accepted as an MB Seminary student at the ACTS Seminaries consortium, you also become a student of Trinity Western University. We follow the same academic standards and procedures as TWU.

Those enrolled in one of MB Seminary’s Teaching Church courses can refer to our MB Seminary Academic Calendar which is unique to our Certificate program.

Bullying and Harassment

MB Seminary is committed to providing a community in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, free from harassment. We consider harassment a serious offence and will not tolerate harassing behaviour that may undermine the respect, dignity, self-esteem, or productivity of any student, faculty, staff, or administrative member. If you have any concerns about possible bullying or harassment, the Contact Persons listed below are your point of initial contact (each has been trained to address bullying and harassment issues).

Dispute Resolution

Member schools of the ACTS consortium encourage all persons to come forward with complaints. Unless complaints are reported and resolved, it is very difficult for the ACTS consortium to maintain a safe environment for working and learning.

Tuition Refund Policy

Details on tuition refunds following course withdrawal are specific to MB Seminary’s academic partnership:

  • Policies for Teaching Church courses (also specified in our MB Seminary Academic Calendar):
    • A course can be dropped by the student before the first day of the teaching intensive portion of
the class for a full refund of tuition and course fees. Dropping a course on the day of or after the teaching intensive portion of a class will result in a refund of 50% of the course tuition, and the registration change must be administered by the Registrar. There is no refund for course tuition or fees if more than one week has passed since the end of the teaching intensive. During this period, courses may only be dropped due to severe extenuating circumstances after approval by the Registrar.
  • Policies for Clinical Psychospiritual Education (CPE) Units:
    • A CPE student can withdraw from their unit within the first seven days of the beginning of the unit and receive a 70% tuition refund. If the withdrawal occurs after seven days and up to 28 days, the student will receive a 50% refund. After the 28th day, there will be no tuition refund.
