Teaching Churches

Teaching Churches are academic partnerships between MB Seminary and congregations. The partnership provides students as well as non-credit learners with church-based education and training.

Academic Credit

You can earn graduate or undergraduate credit for courses by becoming a student at MB Seminary.

Course Workshop

You can participate in the onsite learning experience which will feel similar to an extended workshop (no academic credit).

Online Options

We also offer online courses – it’s a flexible way to work toward your grad certificate at a faster pace!

Building Relationships Across Cultures Sep 28 - Nov 28, 2026

Course Intensive: October 2-3

How do we build relationships across cultures within our culturally diverse neighbourhoods and church communities? This course will explore how cultural awareness and intercultural skills open new opportunities to share the love of Christ through hospitality and friendship. This course will also explore how we can serve more effectively on multicultural teams and through cross-cultural partnerships.

Theological Anthropology Apr 12 - Jun 12, 2027

Course Intensive: April 16-17

How can the church today participate in God’s mission to reconcile all things to himself through Jesus Christ? This course explores how a Trinitarian missional theology, as reflected through the biblical narrative, shapes the church’s identity and calling to witness to the good news of Jesus through its life, actions, and words.

Free Courses for New Students

New MB Seminary graduate students can qualify for a free tuition award when they successfully complete their first graduate course.

Leadership Development Partnership Grant

The LDPG helps students and their MB church pay for tuition for graduate studies courses.
