Giving to MB Seminary

MB Seminary is the graduate theological school of the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (CCMBC). Your support provides pastors and leaders with the training and equipping they need to share the message of Jesus Christ with the communities where they live and work. You can ensure these men and women have access to Christ-centred training in an affordable and convenient way. Consider how you can be a part of spreading God’s kingdom here in Canada and beyond.

Giving Options

ONLINE

For a single gift or ongoing monthly donations, you can use your Visa or MasterCard to make an online donation. You will be asked to enter contact information so that MB Seminary can provide you with a charitable donation tax receipt at the end of the calendar year. Processing fees for online gifts are approximately 3% per transaction. You have the option of increasing your gift by this amount to help offset the cost.

PRE-AUTHORIZED DEBIT

When you complete and submit this pre-authorized debit agreement form, you can conveniently give a monthly donation to MB Seminary through your bank account.

IN-KIND GIFTS, STOCKS, AND MARKETABLE SECURITIES

MB Seminary can receive various kinds of marketable securities (including stock certificates) from corporations and individuals. In-kind gifts are also welcome and include assets such as real estate, automobiles, commodities, and other property. Such gifts often result in current-year income tax deductions and may have other tax benefits as well. ESTATE AND PLANNED GIVING

Estate and planned gifts invest in the future of MB Seminary and provide you with tax benefits for your estate. You can make a significant impact on the future of MB churches in Canada with a legacy gift. By including a donation in your estate, you can reduce or eliminate taxes owing while having a kingdom impact and still providing for your family. Your financial adviser can assist you with the best plan for your estate. If you do not have an adviser, we recommend Abundance Canada. FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Spending of funds is confined to programs and projects approved by MB Seminary. Each restricted contribution designated towards such an approved program or project will be used as designated with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason determined by MB Seminary, the remaining restricted contributions will be used where needed most as determined by MB Seminary.
