A more robust version of this teaching content (along with readings and assignments) is available for academic credit (graduate or undergraduate options).
Caring as God’s People will equip you for the practical ministry of caring. Rooted in biblical and theological understanding, we will focus on the development of skills that will help you nurture connections between daily life and the presence of God. You will grasp an understanding of common stressors and the ministry of connection through care that reveals God is present and active in all of life.
This workshop will equip individuals within congregations to care for each other and for those beyond the walls of the church. The foundation for this workshop is based upon the recognition that God is ultimately the source of all comfort, and that God uses his people to reveal him through compassion-in-action.
